MANNFORD PTO AGENDA

January 24, 2013

Call meeting to order and thanks to everyone who took time out to attend on such short notice.

Patti Nelson brief introduction to everyone.

Goals to accomplish during first meeting:    

• Elect a President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and Volunteer Coordinator.
• Discuss incorporating club for legal reasons and getting tax exempt status
• Committee to work up bylaws for our PTO  (we have a sample to go by)
• Set up Monthly meetings (set time and day)
  • $10 membership yearly dues (needs to be voted on)
• Start recruiting volunteers for schools  (hand out for signing up)
  • Must have a background check done
• Website, newsletter, Facebook page.   Need volunteers to help get these projects started so we can get the word out about PTO.   Ashlee Metcalfe has already started a Facebook page for us.  THANK YOU ASHLEE ! ! !

Fundraisers

• Upper Elementary  BINGO Night in April
  • Need prizes donated  (Asking businesses that we patronize to donate)
  • Volunteers to help out at event
    • Bingo caller
    • Food
    • Sell tickets
    • Raffle

Guest speaker: Colleen Branson will discuss the Child Identification Program through the Masonic Lodge and sponsored by the Mannford Public Library and the Friends of the Library.

Door prize drawings.  $20 Magazine Voucher    $30 Magazine Voucher
