MANNFORD PTO MEETING 5/16/13 - MINUTES

2. Treasurer report - $28.21 in the funds
a. income - additional 28 duffle bags sold (22 at 4th/5th grade program)
b. payouts- raffle ticket
3. Marty Bernstein working on grants
4. Not PTO - but upper elementary school itself earned about $400.00 at
McDonalds in Cleveland
5. Not PTO - 8/22/13 diabetes event (90% to diabetes/10% school 4th& 5th grade)
6. Popcorn/movie night during summer for kids and want more ideas for summer activities
for kids and family
a. get flyers out
b. newspaper
c. $5/kid
d. proposed dates 6/21 & 7/19
7. Possible fundraisers
a. good behavior trip maybe 1st one in Oct. or Nov. (Victory v. Skates)
b. Rib Crib 1x/mo.
8. Printout school calendar and add our events to the school calendar
9. Earthday projects - primary project Upper Elementary - held over, in need of
additional funds
10. Ideas for duffle bag/shirt sales & information & sign up for PTO
a. 8/12/13 - table for 1st day for teachers
b. 8/15/13 - table for 1st day of school
c. home football games
d. 6/14/13 - Boats Melons & Barbeque
e. movie nights
f. 8/29/13 - table for watermelon feed/fire
g. local businesses
11. Ideas get more members
a. sign at corner in town day before meeting
b. newspaper article
c. school flyers
12. Officers for next year
a. everyone has agreed to maintain their positions except VP and a nomination was
made for Marty Bernstein
13. Wanting more teachers to approach PTO about additional fund raising ideas
and their assistance
14. Need for representative for each school to attend & meet & greet teachers for their needs
15. 5/18/13 - Skates in Sand Springs a percentage of sales goes to the school
16. Book about accomplishments and future projects to display when doing
fund raisers (pictures, accomplishments & agenda)
17. Next and first meeting for the school year is Thursday 8/1/13 at 6:30p.m.
